Here is the tutorial on how to first access the One Plarform and the types of monitoring you will be able to create. Follow all the steps and then we will show you how to configure a cloud.
Creating an account and accessing the platform
There are two ways to log in to the platform. The first is by SSO through Google, Microsoft or Github, where you select one of the three options and log in. The second is by creating an account, filling in the highlighted fields (e-mail, name, password and password confirmation) to log in using the email registered in the One Platform. After completing the registration, fill in the email and password fields to access the platform.
Adding the Organization name
Now let's start monitoring, but first you need to add the name of your organization and accept the terms and conditions. Once you have completed these two steps, click on "Start Now."
Types of Monitoring
On the ElvenWorks platform there are 5 ways to monitor what you want. Here they are:
-
External Monitoring: This method is typically used to monitor websites and public URLs. It uses an external pool of machines that simulate an user's access to the page, without adding dependencies.
-
External Monitoring with Addon (Internal): This monitoring occurs in a hybrid manner, using an external application but with the installation of the platform's agent. It utilizes an external pool of machines for the application and an internal pool for the addon. In this case, the application monitors public URLs and their dependencies, such as databases, Elasticsearch, among others.
-
Internal Monitoring: Usually employed to monitor private and public URLs that are accessed only within your infrastructure. It uses an internal pool of machines that check from within the infrastructure for your applications and dependencies.
-
Webhook Monitoring: This method uses CURLs (Client URL) for hits and failures to send information to the platform, treating them as up or down statuses. It is possible to monitor anything that can send CURLs to our platform and is commonly used for integrations that are not available within the platform.
-
Request Flow Monitoring: Uses the internal pool of machines to make a pre-request and post-request. It is used for monitoring logins, where there is a need to collect information in a request and pass that information in a post-request, for example, a token and rotating password.
Once you have selected the desired monitoring type, follow the step-by-step instructions for each monitoring method.
Next step: Configuring a cloud.
