War Room is a physical or virtual space dedicated to coordinating, monitoring and responding to critical incidents or emergencies in real time.
1- To open it through One Platform, you need to go to the Incident Center
, located on the left side menu, and click on the incident for which you would like to have the War Room open.
2- The opening of the War Room will initially take place through Slack, so, after entering the incident page, click on the "Create and Slack Channel" button.
3 - In the modal that appears, give the channel a name and click on "Create Channel". If you have not integrated Slack with the platform, click on the "Click here" link to perform the integration. Channel names can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores and must be 80 characters or less.
After creating the channel, click on "VIEW CHANNEL" and you will be redirected to the channel created in slack, where you can join the channel.
When you enter the channel, it will appear as in the image below
By clicking on "Send Status Update", you can send updates for the incident.
The updates will appear on the incident timeline and can later be released on the Status Page by clicking on the "lock" next to it.
Through the notification received via Slack, you will be able to give Resolve and Acknowledge.
Note: The "Resolve" button only works on incidents generated by external integration or manual incident, as these can be resolved manually. Incidents generated by monitoring are only resolved automatically.
